MUM’S HERE!
Friday afternoon after a 3 hour push back Darwin and I picked Mum up from the airport, it was so exciting to see her that we almost walked off without collecting her luggage. We headed straight to the beach for a refreshing swim before a delicious coffee at the cafe courtyard.
Yesterday marked the third official day of Darwin no longer being breastfed! I’d gradually weened him down to just one feed in the morning when he woke and one morning forgot to feed him, he didn’t seem to miss it so I kept missing it again and presto. Now he drinks whole milk with breakfast lunch and dinner no worries.
We’ve been able to eat outside on the deck now that the weather is getting warmer which makes the clean up much more fun. After Darwin’s morning nap (which are still only lasting 30-40 min long) we joined Tina and Mia at Ho’ okipa it was really windy and the water was still very fresh afterwards Mum, Darwin and I had a coffee and sweet crepe at the cafe before a little shop for slippers at Alice in Hulaland (thanks Mummy!).
And now the second day begins.
Happy First Birthday Darwin! I have, as always, been thinking of you all. It seems like just yesterday I saw you and baby Darwin walking around Makawao. I dont think he was even a week old. The pictures are beautiful. He is beautiful. Enjoy every moment b/c time flies. Poppy turned 2 this month. I will send pics soon too. Enjoy Mums visit. Give everyone a squeeze from us, btw..love the hair! xoxo, The Marish’s
