AMAZING
Darwin always seems to amaze us, just last night Jason and I were praising his stair climbing ability and wondered when he would be able to climb down backwards. We imagined it wouldn’t be for a while but the very next morning without any instruction it was as if he’d understood our conversation and wanted to prove to us that he could go down. It was amazing, then this afternoon if that wasn’t already enough he crawled to the edge of the bed turned around and shimmied of the edge all by himself leaving us gob smacked.
He is unfortunately sick, it’s worst when he wakes up but still isn’t too much of a handful. However it’s not a walk in the park as I’m feeling a bit run down and sick myself I really hope it blows over before the wedding.
The weather has still been pretty weird, we went to the beach for about 30 min today the sun was nice but it was so windy and I didn’t want Darwin to go in the chilly water and then it’s colder with the wind.
Cafe Des Amis Courtyard has been open a week now, it is divine and has single handily changed the face of Paia for the better. Even Darwin and I with our pockets full of coins like to frequent there. Me for the coffee and scene and Darwin mostly for the gravel and water pooling in the pot plants saucer.
sorry for visiting and leaving you with our germs. Hope you all get better fast.

Well hello there Babe Ruth, darling Darwin and of course Jason…it is a joy to look through your photos and read about the handsome little prince - he is just adorable. You sound so happy and content. Big wide smiles of happiness my end too thinking of you living this life. If i was to plan a trip out to Hawaii in October - would that be good timing in terms of weather and stuff?? Max (my boyfriend) and I are dead keen on booking flights and it would be amazing if i could come and see you and meet the little man!
For now - big kisses from a sunny Amsterdam
Mwah!
