WALKING

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the weeks just fly by. We’ve been homebodies this week after our Beachathon which could be the reason behind Darwin’s runny nose? Too much sun or perhaps more teeth are on the way, he’s had just 6 for quite some time.

I’ve been rubbing Baby Vicks on his chest and back and given him a dose of the Homeopathic teething tablets once, he’s still very active and has not lost his apatite so whatever it is can’t be so bad. The hardest thing is the sleep, he’s been waking once or twice at nap times but after a few grizzly minutes puts himself back to sleep and is asleep for his usual 1 hour total down time. This morning Darwin went straight to his feet and walked instead of crawling, he chooses to walk much more now and practically runs if you hold his hand.

We’ve decided against throwing him a big birthday bash, after some time on and off the fence it seemed like a hell of a lot of work and money when he’d be happy with whatever. We will just have the family and a few close friends potluck style which I’m now really looking forward to.

  1. I don’t remember when it happened exactly, after a year and before 18 months, and it didn’t happen all at once but that is when Kawika first started going down to just one nap a day.

I hope Darwin just has teething related runny nose. We had a head cold when we got home, me really bad, then Kawika hardly at all (my plug for extended nursing - antibodies!), and then Pohaku not as sick as I was but fairly miserable. Hope we didn’t get you all sick.
