WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY
Today was a spectacular day, the water was a calm pristine blue, a light refreshing breeze blew as the suns rays tanned our sunscreened skin. Darwin napped at the beach so that we could save gas (now $4.18 a gallon!!!) and visit in the afternoon, Jamie, Olga and their not so new any more 8 week old son Alex. 4 hours at the beach was perfect and getting to hold Alex was bliss. He is adorable with blue, blue eyes, to die for features and a crazy long spiky dark full head of hair. Jamie and Olga are doing really well and are perfect parents.
I am so tired right now after a very long day and long night before it. We had a few people over for drinks and a hamburger dinner last night which resulted in a fair consumption of alcohol. Darwin slept through it all, even the repetitive toilet flushing which almost removes him from the “light sleeper” title!
Tom, Anne and Kawika visited us over the weekend and we were able to show Tom (who now believes we are “anal” regarding Darwin’s schedule) how easy he goes to bed and stays asleep. I’m so defensive and offended when people have a go at us, so I was very proud to be on show.
Darwin has started to walk again but just a few steps here and there, sometimes he’s aware of it and other times surprises himself. He has me in stitches throughout the day, I’m amazed by how much he remembers and learns which intern creates his character which I am just crazy about. We love him to pieces!
I love your work Godzilla Darwin about to fart all over that monster truck ( instead of breath fire that is ). cool shots ruthie keep up the good work. oh and that one of tina is a bit arty. very cool.

Ruthie next time Tom gives you shit give it right back to him :). He really doesn’t think you’re anal, and truth be told I think he wishes we were a bit more regimented about Kawika’s schedule but Tom’s such a fly by the seat of his pants kind of guy that it just wouldn’t work for us. So the teasing is as much poking fun at himself as it is giving you guys a loving hard time (he’s almost as bad as his buddy Eric - a real PIA sometimes, but ya gotta love ‘em). Remember what I said about the assvice, people are full of it you just keep doing what works for you guys. Also tom has this idea of you as being the wild child who put fun into Jason’s life so he finds the whole schedual concept to be at odds with that and it makes him laugh.
Love that Darwin loves the truck, Kawika hasn’t missed it yet.

My dear loving girl this is Dad…I just want you to know that all the ribing you get is just because for all that I/we have tried to accomplish what you and JC have I am amazed that you accomplished it…we only wish that was us, and yes you are my wild girl of the ‘ohana and how you got our beautiful Darwin to just go to bed on cue is just so you…I love you for who you are and what you did for JC and us all - my beautiful grandson.
