FAMILY FUN DAY
Today was an epic “Family Day”. Now that Jason works a real Monday through Friday job we really try to have Family time on the weekends, today we got it down.
This morning we went to the Ho’olaule’a (Hawaiian word meaning: Celebration) at Kamehameha School in Kula where with any luck Darwin will be accepted into when he reaches the school age. The school is immaculate, the grounds resemble those of a 5 star resort and the facilities, Olympic quality. Kamehameha Schools accepts only those who are part Hawaiian and pass the required entry examinations. After today, listening to great music, checking out the stalls, chowing down a delicious plate lunch then snow cone and Malasada’s (donuts without holes) we really would love Darwin to go to this school.
In the afternoon we all went to Ho’okipa, Jason Windsurfed in great conditions while Darwin and I amused ourselves on the beach. Darwin is really good at playing with the sand, sticks, shells and whatever else he can find but he especially loves to climb on me and take off my sunnies. He’s is bed early tonight after a long day, Jason and I are going to enjoy a bottle of red with dinner.
