IT FEELS LIKE SPRING
The days are hot and windy, well there are periods of hotness. Our routine pretty much entails being at Julie and Ryan’s house in Kuau around midday every day and it’s very much like the “Real Hawaii” there, close by the sea, gardens full of frangapani trees and a wafting warmth that makes you just want to take your clothes off.
The windsurfing conditions have been really good and Jason has finally been able to find the time get in the water, it’s amazing how the salt water lifts your spirits. I can’t wait for this Summer swell, hopefully I get a few surfs in before we plant the next seed in my belly!
Lindsay and Andrew had their baby Girl, Audrey on Wednesday night at 8pm. Tina, Mia, Darwin and I got to meet her at the hospital on Thursday afternoon and hear bits and pieces of the birth story. They are a beautiful family! That night I ate Sushi with Tina, Hana, Mary and a 5.5 months pregnant Carmen.
Saturday was an overcast day, our house was surrounded by clouds most of the morning it was very chalet, we drank coffee and ate waffles while watching clouds breeze across the deck. When Darwin woke from his nap we took a walk in the Olinda Forrest, Darwin rode on Jason’s back in the hike pack we stumbled across in our big shed. It was nice for us to do something together as a family, I love family time and really want to make traditions for us I think that’s important.
A hike pack? Cool! (well not really, I had this WONDERFUL plan to get you guys one for Darwin’s birthday - now I gotta get thinking again. Shoot!)
