MAKING THE MOST OF THE CRAP WEATHER
The weather has been unbelievably cold and wet, there is even snow on top of Mt Haleakala! Last week this weather was still referred to as a wet winter now it is officially referred to as crap, it is just too wet and so cold. But still we soldier on and make the most of it.
On Saturday we joined Rio for her 3rd Birthday party which was a lot of fun. Darwin loved watching the other kids bounce on the jumpy castle and play recorders. Today we visited the Maui Ocean Center with Tina, Mia, Amy, Even and Chloe. It was a wet day over there too and very busy but well worth it, the fish were beautiful and the kids had a terrific time.
Darwin’s sleep schedule is going well, his night sleeps are still long (7:30pm - 6/6:30am with a 10 pm “rollover” breastfeed) and day naps are slowly becoming longer than 30 mins at a time. I’m feeding him more solids at each meal and giving an extra bath or shower with me in the morning which seems to be helping a lot, I’m surprised by how much he can fit into that tummy of his. The hard thing is keeping him entertained indoors when it’s too wet to play outside, I don’t mind the cold but have had a gut full of this rain. Come on Spring!
Ahhh the rain!!!!!
Well we have had a week of sunny-ish sort of days which has been nice here on the Sunny Coast! Tom and I leave for Perth in 2 sleeps and we are apparently heading into 37 degree heat - uh oh! Will be nice for a change tho!
Glad to hear Darwin is becoming a good sleeper - he is looking cuter, cheekier and bigger in each photo!
Ciao,
Fern xx

I cannot believe how big Chloe, Mia, and Darwin are getting. Seems like just yesterday you and I were taking swims at the Pukalani pool together with that big ole belly of yours. So I will be arriving on the island March 4th…let’s go play in the sand shall we! I am SO excited!!!
