MEETING ‘OLD MCDONALD’
Yesterday after a scrumptious breakfast underneath the umbrella in the drizzling overcast weather we lounged about at home. Dad came by around 1pm, it was his first time meeting Darwin and I reckon he was very stoked to see him. We are calling him ‘Old McDonald’ because he is Mr. Adrian McDonald and Darwin loves the nursery rhyme “Old McDonald had a Farm”. It was really nice to see Dad again and are excited that he will be spending Christmas morning here with us.
The rain fell pretty hard all day which kept us inside, we decided to cruise down to the Kings Beach Tavern for a beer with a crew of people at about 5pm. We stayed long enough to catch up with a few familiar faces, have a beer, show off Darwin (and Jason) and watch Tom win $85 on the pokies. It wasn’t really a place to hang out with Darwin for too long so we came home ate a roast chicken with veggies and were in bed at 7:30pm.
I’ve decided to go with my real gut feelings instead of sticking to a strict 4 hour feeding schedule with Darwin. I was in tune with Darwin’s old all over the place no such thing as a routine, he is such a happy baby and I don’t mind so much waking with him in the night because I love to be in bed early, really. Well I’m just documenting my change of mind, who knows when or what it will change into tomorrow I just like to keep track for the next one!

LOL that’s the spirit! Hope it all sorts out soon. Hey I was thinking do you think he might be teething? Could explain why he’s waking up a lot to comfort nurse.
How lovely that your Dad finally got to meet Darwin, he must have been so happy.
