Saturday evening we were all packed for camping on Lanai although hesitant about missing epic surfing conditions at Ho’okipa on Sunday (the call was for it to be “all time”), after some uming and ahring we decided to bite the bullet and go camping. We made the best call ever, it was an epic camping trip (”all time”) and apparently the surf dropped so we didn’t miss anything.

We caught the 7am Malaea Ferry after a beautiful sunrise and cruised over oil slick waters arriving on Lanai just after 8am. The park was almost empty so our set up was very pro. The weather, superb. The ocean, pristine. Swimming with the dolphins, mind blowing. Coffee in the morning and cocktails by the pool in the afternoon at the Four Seasons Resort just a stones throw away was “very handy and delicious!”

We could not have planned a more perfect trip a great time was had by all. I’m really stoked on it being Darwin’s 3rd camping trip and he’s only just turned 5 months. He loved the ocean and was so comfortable in the water. I love seeing him naked in nature, a boy after my own heart! In these last few days he’s really grown stronger and what seems smarter I never think of him as only a 5 month old “baby” he’s our little “man”.
