DINNERS
Tuesday night we ate with George and Nellie at their house in Kula, little Isla slept the entire time and looked so sweet doing so. George whipped up a delicious meal and we caught up on lives with babies. The next morning Darwin and I walked the beach with Nellie and Isla after coffee at the cafe.
Last night Tina, Pascal and Mia came over for dinner. It was a beautiful sunset and a great evening, I can’t believe we haven’t had them over for dinner before now. Mia is just adorable and I can’t believe how quickly she’s blossomed into a real little girl.
This morning Darwin decided to break his sleeping through schedule, he woke at 3am. At first I thought he was just waking from a bad dream but it seemed he was starving. The night before he didn’t hardly nap all day and slept from 6:30pm through until 6:15am. The two mornings prior to that he’d been waking at 5:45am starving, which was a little too early for my liking. He’s still taking his hour morning nap and hour after waking up which I’m happy about. I think for sure he is teething and has been for a few weeks now. He drools like crazy, sometimes has a clear runny nose and can’t chew on his fingers enough, he’s also gummy bit me a few times. He also can’t get enough on standing up, he lets you know what he wants to do and when thats for sure. His character is really becoming obvious, obviously adorable!
drool, runny nose - does sound a lot like teething messed up his sleep too (that and a growth spurt)
hungry - he may be hitting a growth spurt? Getting biger all the time, but how I wish they would stay babies
have you guessed yet - teething, growing, any sort of developmental things all good excuses/explaination for whatever is going on
standing - I’ve got a exersaucer for you guys that Darwin can stand and play in (if you haven’t got one already and if you want it, let me know) it was a big hit with Kawika for a few months
[sigh] is miss those moring naps although Kawika is nice and at times will put in a 3 hour afternoon nap (3 hours! that’s enough time to really get something done :))
Pohaku gets back on the 19th and I know we’ve been talking about heading over to Maui. See you guys soon?
