June 26th, my Due date! Darwin is 4 weeks and 6 days old.

It is just crazy to think that today could have been the day, I feel like he’s been here forever. Today I’m just cruising at home with him, I feel like the last few days I’ve not spent enough time with him. Of course I have but not consuming time, I need to smother him with stares, smiles and kisses. He’s still so new, I feel guilty carting him all over the place so soon. Since having him and then the move I’ve not stopped, it’s nice to relax a bit while he sleeps.

Yvette, Gerardo, Maura and Julie AKA “The Van Der Ark Family”, my previous (+3 years ago) employers/ very close friends flew in on Saturday. Sunday morning they all came up to the house for a long awaited “coffee time”. It was great to see them all, Maura now almost 7 and Julie 5 it’s amazing to see how they’ve grown into young ladies.

Well like true friends, after 3 years apart it felt like just yesterday we were all together. That same night they joined us along with our new tenants for a BBQ in our beautiful yard, man we have a great yard for kids. I was running around with the girls like old times but quickly tired, I had to remind myself I only gave birth one month ago “take it easy sister”! Which is again why I’m Miss homebody today, drinking my water and eating well.

Man this computer is fun to type on! Mum arrives in Oahu on Thursday we will see her Friday morning, I can’t believe it. I can’t wait for her to meet her first grandchild!!! And a Grand Child he is.

I love you Darling Darwin, and you too delectable Husband!

  1. Its hard to believe the girls are so grown up. It feels like only yesterday that julie was only a couple a months old. My how time flys when your having fun!!
I miss you heaps Ruthie, just want to come and have coffee and hugs. Well all in good time I guess. Say Hi to Jo for me I haven’t been in contact with her for ages, give her a hug as well! You look different, good different, I can’t put my finger on it, maybe just the overwhelming look of family love.
