MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Well Christmas Day is almost at it’s end which is quite sad although it will be nice to remember.

Ours started yesterday, Christmas Eve (Australia’s Christmas).
Jason and I went for a early morning walk through Piiholo’s very chilly forest and continued on our way to Mike’s house where Jas prepared the 30 POUND Turkey for our Xmas Eve dinner. I went to work for a few hours to help the staff close early and came back to play. We bought the house a Badminton Set so fun was had by all as the sun disappeared. Dinner was delicious and much to much, afterwards everyone started sinking Cosmo’s and I got really tired. We got home just before midnight so Santa wouldn’t forget about us.

Tommy was the first to call us from Big White at 7am, we had just woken up and boiled the kettle for our tea. After a good long Xmas chat Jason and I got into some serious present opening! What a great Christmas!
Julie and Ryan came up a little later to join us for a splendid Xmas Breaky spread, we ate outside and finished just before the clouds rolled in. Afterward we huddled on the couch and watched “Elf”.

Mid afternoon we tried to go to the beach but the day had turned rather gloomy so got back in the car and decided to head for the hills. We went to Polipoli in Kula, it’s a camping ground and popular hunting destination. No the two don’t go hand in hand…I hope. We were a little confused by the directions and somehow ended up driving almost to the top of Heleakala just in time to see the sun in the most spectacular setting position. We also had a clear view of the Big Island which was a new sight for us from that angle.

It was a perfect end to a perfect day!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

  2. hello precious ones, beautiful pics you have! Started off the spirit watching Miracle on 34th. street (again) and then we had an enormous xmas day beginning with rog ’s trad jump on me in bed & cuddle wishing me merry xmas at 12.30 am, then the pressy opening with me, Stacey, Rog and Brett- lots of fun and goodies; followed by the trad breaky by the pool and pool volleyball with the most enormous ball rog bought from clarke rubber (well punctured now!); then i had a snooze and we had turkey and prawns and drinkies at Stacey’s folks- bon bons and more silly jokes etc then we went to pru’s where she did us all proud as she does with salmon dinner for about 30 kids and adults (ever picture tells a story) and we all sat around in a circle afterwards playing the pass the bomb game-such fun; I fell asleep and woke up feeing drugged-rog said he laced my drink with date rape drug (can’t spell it)- we all came home in the mini bus with crack caloundra humour-very merry. Boxing day it poured and was cold; I had the heater on last night and then cuddled up with kitty. today is another coldie so once again my tan getting is thwarted, but at least there is rain here as the whole country is in drought and dams are only less than quarter full. Even in melb that’s what every one is talking about and everyone is litterally scared. in brissy you can’t even fill a bucket with the hose or water the garden at all. Well, now it’s time to brace for new year and leave the turkeys alone for a while so to all of you very best wishes for 2007 - love mumma Jo
