Last night George, Nellie, Mary and Kristen came over for dinner and a movie.
We scavenged together bits and pieces for a delicious pasta that George prepared and as we were serving it up we had a blackout. Luckily we had plenty of candles so minutes later were enjoying dinner by candle light with delightful conversation. Just before we could get really upset about not watching the movie we had planned the power came back on!
We turned off all the lights but the Christmas Tree’s bright colours, snuggled together under blankets on the couch and watched “Elf” it was such a laugh-a-thon!

It’s been so windy,cold and damp. A nice feeling for the festive season, much colder than Australia right now (but I do miss those hot hot Christmas’s)
Amy phoned as she was getting onto a lift in Whistler yesterday, two days ago they had 20 inches of fresh powder! We were happy for them but honestly very jealous.
