A BEACH PARTY
Tuesday night a couple of us from the Cafe went down to Tavaras Bay to join Shaunna in saying goodbye to herself. Yep she’s off, not too many people can last it here on the rock for more than 6 months wether it be the cost of living or the fact that it is, a rock!
Gin and I got down there at about 6.30pm and it was a beautiful warm evening, pink skys and a calm sea. Soon after us admiring the sight everyone arrived and in a few minutes we’d dug a hole in the sand piled in the wood light the fire and were drinking beers happily while the light turned to dark. A few hours later we cooked some snags on the little cook top, we got to munch on those just before the stars dissapeared and the man in the clouds decided we should put the fire out. Just as well, the beers had run out and a bottle of vanilla vodka was being passed around!
At this point I decided to head home, Gin thought it would be a good idea to go with the girls to “Charlies”, well it turns out it wasn’t such a good idea. She walked home in the rain and had some funny stories to tell the next morning.
Gotta go the soccer starts in a few minutes, LOVE the World Cup!
