MY SWEET VALENTINE!
Well it’s raining. All of our camping gear is lying on the ground by the door. Now the sun tries to peek through the clouds, but it’s too late. Jason and I had planned to be camping last night at Hosmers Grove up Healeakla but yesterday proved to be too wet. It’s a shame that it was my only first day off in over two weeks but lucky for us today is Valetines Day and nothing can damper the joy and love that today brings. We’ll leave all the gear by the door and camp in a few days or so.
I got up at about 7am and baked brownies, a special heart shaped one for my lover and then made him a special card. He bought me a dozen sweet smelling roses yesterday to bring with us camping, I love him so much. Since we couldn’t camp we still enjoyed a delishous dinner of BBQ’d Tri tip steaks, asparagus and bell peppers while watching Hotel Rewanda (such a moving story).
Mmmmwah! Happy Valentines Day!
How organised are you to go camping hey girl! Well, Valentines Day was cool over here (if you can really say that when it is 40 something degrees) - a Tiara & tat (oo) morning tea at Community Health. Recommend it for breaking the ice; everyone at the Charleville unit drew out someone’s name to be extra nice too. I was given a jewel studded tiara (Crazy Clarks model) and since i had my hair already perched up on my head it sat perfectly so I wore it all day. VD has always been something of a fun extension to my Feb.12 BD and this was no exception. i have been watching and getting some pleasure out of the winter olympics; I wish I could ice skate to a waltz! It was good to eventually get back to my ‘Gunyah’ but i did enjoy our pandemic Flu training; I find it rather exciting which is quite sick really, but it is nice to be in a position of control from knowing what is going on and what is expected. The fellow instructing us in response was a doctor who had been in Bangladesh for 13 years. love meeting such a variety of people in this job. Well Ruthie, you look the part with the rose between your teeth. Can you get a nice heater that warms your house quickly and safely? (I sound like my mother!). Anyway, as I said, it’s nice to be back; I love being able to do whatever I please; last night i stayed up for the later night movie - Briget Jones’s Diary (again) and didn’t get to sleep till 1.30 am. Well petal, this is slightly more than a comment, but might as well tell the world what is on my mind and agenda while I am at it! who knows some Prince may read this and fall in love with me! Love you to the moon and back ~ mummy
