TRAINNING

Yesterday was my 10th day straight at work, what a champion I am eh? Don’t mind if I toot my own horn. It doesn’t seem to be getting any slower as we approach mid winter, there are still as many tourists as in summer… go figure. Anyways so I cooked all day at the cafe and then came home to my wonderful husband in our very cold little cottage upcountry.

Jason has been going to Jiu-Jitsu twice a week, yesterday was his second week and he thought it would be something I would really like so convinced me to come (despite working all day, which was to be my excuse). Well we arrived at the building in Kahalui at 6pm for the beginners class which lasted until 7pm. It was a great introductory with a warm up, slinding along the ground, back and foward rolls, etc and then into trainning choke holds and how to break their gard. It was really good, great to know some moves first time.
At the end of that class the next started (it’s a bit more advanced) our teacher is Luis Heredia he is a great teacher and Jiu-Jitsu master holding the black belt. I didn’t think I’d last the whole class but I was really into it so it was hard to sit out. We started with a really good half hour warm up (excruicating but very addictive) then we incorporated the moves from the first class into stand up more advanced wressels. It ended at 8.30pm and now I’m amped for next week.

Thismorning I’m pretty sore, can’t wait till I feel stronger and have abs of steel! I’ve got the day off today so am loking forward to something fun.
